Trail Dig

The dedication and volunteer work being done in local riding communities and clubs around Australia is nothing short of incredible. Specialized wants to give back and support what’s happening out on the trails by encouraging riders to roll up their sleeves and get digging.

In association with local riding clubs and riding groups, Specialized are bringing together land-owners, bike retailers, clubs and riders at Volunteer ‘Trail Digs’ around the country. Staff from Specialized, and local bike retail staff will be there digging on the days, as well as supporting volunteers with food, drinks and tools. The volunteer ‘Trail Digs’ are an opportunity for riders who want to get involved in helping out with trail building in their area, but just don’t know where to start, to get out and get amongst it.

The digging will be supervised by experienced local trail builders, so you don’t need to have a beard and a chainsaw to be a part of it. The digging is also always under the guidance and supervision of the local trail building community. It is really important to us to have the local club leading this aspect of the event as it helps us make sure any impact we have on the trails is a positive one.

Riders of all levels are encouraged to come out, earn some trail karma and have a hand in maintaining their local network. Some tools will be provided, but as it’s hard to know how many willing volunteers will turn up, if you do have a pick and shovel please bring them along.

Destination Trail Hub

Chill out, refuel or just relax between rides in our Destination Trail Hub. There will be plenty for everyone with coffee, food trucks, a bar featuring Bridge Road Brewery beer, live entertainment and the opportunity to win some cool swag by showing off your riding skills in one of our daily Wheelie or Fist Gear Dash competitions!

Come for a ride and stay for the day!
